Vietnam is seeking ways to revive the billion-dollar pepper industry which has been struggling against unfavourable weather conditions and the COVID-19 pandemic for over the last several years.

VOV.VN - Vietnam raked in approximately US$950 million from exporting 260,000 tonnes of pepper this year, becoming the world’s largest supplier of pepper despite facing challenges relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to data given by the Vietnam Pepper Association (VPA).

Vietnamese agricultural products have been introduced at the 10th Chili Pepper Festival, one of the most awaited culinary fests in a year that is taking place in Italian central city of Rieti from September 1-5.
