VOV.VN - Deputy Minister of National Defence of Vietnam Hoang Xuan Chien and his Canadian counterpart Stefanie Beck reviewed defence cooperation between the two countries while co-chairing the third Vietnam-Canada Defence Policy Dialogue in Hanoi on February 20.

The Deputy Minister suggested that both nations focus on implementing the exchange of delegations, especially high-level ones, and maintaining existing cooperation mechanisms, particularly in training programmes and defence industry collaboration.

The Lao Ministry of National Defence hosted a meeting to mark the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and the 35th anniversary of the All People’s Defence Festival (December 22) in Vientiane on December 30 morning, bringing together senior officers of the Lao People's Army.

The fourth Vietnam – Laos ministerial-level defence policy dialogue was held in the northwestern province of Dien Bien on March 20 under the chair of Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien and his Lao counterpart Vongkham Phommakone.
