Chinese national deported from Dong Thap for visa violation

VOV.VN - The immigration office of Dong Thap provincial police in coordination with the immigration office at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on November 28 completed the deportation of a Chinese national who violated Vietnamese law by overstaying and engaging in activities beyond the purpose of the visa issued.

Earlier, the Dong Thap immigration office, together with the local police inspected rental accommodations for foreign nationals in Tan Luoc 2 hamlet, Tan Huong commune, Dong Thap province.

During the inspection, it was discovered that Chen Guoyong, 52, a Chinese citizen, had overstayed his temporary residence permit in Vietnam by more than 90 days and carried out activities inconsistent with the approved visa purpose.

The department imposed a fine on Chen Guoyong and enforced his deportation under Vietnamese law.
