Vietnamese products and fruits promoted to Chinese businesses and consumers
VOV.VN - The Vietnamese Embassy in China, in coordination with Wumart Group and Goodfarmer Group, on November 29 organized the “Vietnamese Goods Day in China and Vietnam Fruit Festival” at a Wumart retail supermarket in Beijing.
The event formed part of efforts to realize the common perceptions of both nations’ senior leaders on strengthening bilateral trade cooperation, as well as the Government’s project on promoting direct participation of Vietnamese enterprises in overseas distribution networks through 2030.
During the event, dozens of Vietnamese brands were introduced, displaying a wide range of products including bird’s nest and processed bird’s nest items, coffee, fresh and dried fruits, fruit beverages, cashew nuts, confectionery, rice and other specialties.
In his speech the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh said the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership has continued to see strong development in recent years, with economic and trade cooperation expanding both in scale and depth and delivering positive outcomes. With a population of more than 1.4 billion and rising demand for high-quality goods, China represents a major opportunity for Vietnam’s premium consumer products. To date, many Vietnamese agro-forestry-fishery products exported to China have been well received by Chinese consumers.
Acting as a bridge connecting Vietnamese products to the Chinese market, the Vietnamese Embassy has continued to expand trade promotion activities to help Vietnamese brands access distribution networks and retail supermarket systems in China, marking an important step in facilitating Vietnamese goods’ deeper entry into the country’s distribution channels.
According to Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh, the event allows Chinese consumers to directly experience the quality of Vietnamese products. He expressed confidence that shared cultural and culinary affinities, along with growing health awareness and demand for premium goods, will further enhance Vietnamese products’ appeal among Chinese consumers.
Meanwhile, Liu Ziqiu, CEO of Goodfarmer Group, described Vietnam as a “golden production hub” within the company’s global supply chain.
Benefiting from cooperation with leading partners in sourcing premium fruit, Goodfarmer has been able to deliver high-quality produce from Vietnamese orchards to Chinese dining tables while maintaining freshness, helping Vietnamese fruit gain widespread consumer trust.
Held during the Vietnam-China Year of People-to-People Exchanges, the event was not only a trade promotion activity but also a platform solidifying cultural and economic ties and enhancing the comprehensive cooperative friendship between the two countries.
