VOV.VN - The export turnover of Vietnamese agro-forestry-fishery products this year reached a new record of nearly US$48.6 billion, increasing by 15% year on year and exceeding the set target by US$4.6 billion, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

Vietnam and Cambodia agreed to boost cooperation in the agro-forestry-fishery sector during a working session between the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Phnom Penh on December 21.

Vietnam enjoyed a year-on-year rise of 13.1% in the export revenue of agro-forestry-fisheries products in the first 10 months of this year to nearly US$38.75 billion, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The agro-forestry-fisheries sector is the mainstay of the economy of Vietnam during the COVID-19 pandemic in the first nine months of this year.

VOV.VN - Despite the negative impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam’s agricultural sector raked in US$35.5 billion from exports during the opening nine months of the year, a rise of 17.7% year on year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

Processing industry contributed 86.27% to the total export revenue of the country in the first nine months of 2021, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Vietnam hopes to further foster agricultural collaboration with Belgium, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan said at a meeting with the Belgium side in Brussels on September 9.
