VOV.VN - Vietnam and Cambodia have saved over 1,000 Vietnamese citizens who have been tricked to work illegally in Cambodia, said Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang during a regular press conference in Hanoi on September 22.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia, the border guard and the Consular Department of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry have coordinated with Cambodian authorities to bring home Vietnamese citizens who fled from a business establishment in Cambodia as soon as possible.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese agencies in Cambodia are continuing to take measures to protect Vietnamese citizens in the neighbouring country, according to the ministry’s deputy spokesman Doan Khac Viet.
