Vietnamese team earns full medal haul at 2025 Asian Physics Olympiad

VOV.VN - All eight Vietnamese students have secured medals at the 2025 Asian Physics Olympiad, showing a remarkable improvement from last year’s results.

The Ministry of Education and Training has announced that all eight members of Vietnam’s national team participating in the 2025 Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) in Saudi Arabia have brought home medals.

Held from May 4 to 12, the competition drew 208 contestants from 30 teams representing 29 countries and territories.

Vietnam’s team secured an outstanding result with 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals–an impressive improvement compared to the 2024 results, which included only 1 gold, 1 silver, and 6 bronze medals.

This achievement places Vietnam among the top five performing delegations, alongside China, the Republic of Korea, Chinese Taipei, and Russia

The 2025 APhO awards ceremony is slated for May 12.
