Vietnam always values the strengthening of ties with Austria, its important and reliable partner in Europe, State President Vo Van Thuong told President of the Federal Council of Austria Claudia Arpa during a meeting in Vienna on July 24.

State President Vo Van Thuong on July 24 (local time) visited the family of Dr. Nguyen Duy Ha, a reputable Vietnamese physicist in Europe and the world, as part of his ongoing official visit to Austria.

Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son held a meeting with his Austrian counterpart Alexander Schallenberg in Vienna on July 24 (local time), as part of President Vo Van Thuong’s ongoing Austria visit.

Austrian capital Vienna, with its strengths in tourism, culture, urban management, environmental protection, heritage conservation and restoration, can cooperate with Hanoi and other Vietnamese localities to carry out specific joint activities, thus promoting the overall bilateral relationship, said President Vo Van Thuong on July 24.

The State visit by President Vo Van Thuong and his spouse to Italy at the invitation of Italian President Sergio Mattarella is expected to lift the strategic partnership between the two countries to a new height.
