HCM City ready for 2025 ASEAN U19 Women’s Championship
VOV.VN - The 2025 ASEAN U19 Women’s Championship will officially take place in Ho Chi Minh City from June 9 to 18, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF).

HFF says it has been entrusted by both the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to host the tournament.
This marks the first time a local football federation in Vietnam has hosted a regional women’s tournament, representing a significant milestone in the development of women’s football in both Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City.
The tournament features eight national teams, namely defending champions Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, and hosts Vietnam.
The eight participating teams will be divided into two groups and play in a round-robin format. The top four teams will advance to the semifinals.
The group draw and match schedule announcement will take place on May 9. All matches of the tournament will be livestreamed on HFF’s fanpage and YouTube channel.
HFF says it is committed to organising the tournament with the highest standards in terms of professionalism, media coverage, and logistics, aiming to deliver an exciting, inspiring tournament that helps spread the love for women’s football.
The 2025 ASEAN U19 Women’s Championship is seen as a preparatory step for young women’s teams in the region ahead of the 2026 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers, which will take place from August 2 to 10.
According to the draw results for the Asian qualifiers, Vietnam’s U20 women’s team have been placed in Group B as the host nation, alongside Kyrgyzstan, Hong Kong (China), and Singapore.
