Vietnam claims opening win at Asian Women’s Beach Handball Championship

VOV.VN - Vietnam made a strong start at the 2025 Asian Women’s Beach Handball Championship with a 2-0 win over India in their opening match on May 8 in Oman.

The team dominated both sets, winning 30-13 and 30-10. They will next face Hong Kong (China) on May 9.

The tournament, running from May 8 to 15, features four teams: Vietnam, India, the Philippines, and Hong Kong (China). The teams compete in a double round-robin format, with the top team crowned champions.

Vietnam are defending champions, having won the title in both 2022 and 2023, and are aiming for a third straight victory.
