Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on May 9 chaired a government meeting which focused on accelerating the reorganisation of administrative units and the building of a two-level local administration model.
Members of the Politburo and Secretariat reviewed the restructuring of the political system’s organisational apparatus and reorganisation of administrative units at all levels during a meeting on May 3.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called for a continued review of tasks and solutions related to the reorganisation and merger of provincial-and communal-level administrative units, stressing the need to avoid overlapping responsibilities while ensuring that no duties are neglected, paving the way for a more efficient two-tier political system at the local level.
VOV.VN - The Government has instructed provincial-level People’s Committees to submit proposals on administrative unit reorganisation before May 1, enabling the Ministry of Home Affairs to complete the Government’s master plan for submission to the National Assembly by May 30, with approval expected before June 20, 2025.
