Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed Directive No. 11/CT-TTg, dated April 21, mandating a stepped-up rollout of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety across Vietnam.

A Vietnam – Belgium symposium was held at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) on April 3, advancing road safety initiatives through virtual learning and research.

VOV.VN - As many as 4,755 traffic accidents happened across the country in the period from December 15, 2024 – March 14, 2025, resulting in 2,598 deaths and 3,198 injuries, according to the National Traffic Safety Committee.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has signed a directive to strengthen traffic safety measures in 2025.

During the nine-day holiday, traffic safety showed remarkable improvement, with accidents down significantly across all three key indicators and over two-digit decreases logged for the first time.

The Ministry of Public Security will set up a database on road traffic order and safety as per Decree 151/2024/ND-CP which took effect on January 1, 2025.

After two weeks of implementing the Government’s Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, which significantly increases penalties for various traffic offences, the situation regarding traffic order and safety has seen remarkable improvements, as evidenced by reductions in cases, fatalities and injuries.

VOV.VN - A total of 21,691 traffic accidents occurred nationwide from December 15, 2023, to November 14, 2024, killing 10,026 people and injuring 16,103 others, reported the National Traffic Safety Committee.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked the northern province of Bac Ninh to continue maintaining its safe traffic management model, evaluating and improving it as a foundation for expanding to other cities and provinces nationwide.

VOV.VN - The recently ended four-day National Day holiday running from August 31 to September 3 witnessed a total of 257 traffic accidents occur in localities nationwide, resulting in 124 deaths and 193 injuries, according to the National Traffic Safety Committee.
