Vietnam has highlighted the role played by ASEAN in seeking a peaceful solution to the Myanmar issue during a UNSC meeting on November 8 to listen to a report by Erywan Pehin Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs of of Brunei on efforts regarding the Myanmar situation.

Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son held a phone talk with Brunei Second Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof on April 13, during which both agreed to regularly and effectively maintain the nations’ mechanism of joint committee on bilateral cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh on January 21 led a Vietnamese delegation to attend the online ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat (AMM Retreat) at the invitation of Foreign Minister of Brunei Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof.
