IPhone 12 users in Vietnam are now able to experience 5G. Previously, 5G mobile networks only adapted to high-end phone products from Samsung and some Chinese manufacturers.

After telecoms carriers conducted commercial 5G trials in big cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, many provinces have sent recommendations to the Ministry of Information and Communications to allow the carriers to deploy 5G in their urban areas, industrial zones and key areas.

The trial on such frequency band is conducted from December 16, 2020 to June 30, 2021 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the two major cities of Vietnam.
