Russia’s Red Wings launches first direct air route to Khanh Hoa
VOV.VN - The first flight operated by Red Wings Airlines carrying 400 passengers onboard departing from Kazan International Airport, Russia, landed at Cam Ranh International Airport in Khanh Hoa province on May 12.

Upon its arrival, the aircraft was welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute, a special aviation gesture for flights marking significant milestones.
In addition, the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organised a welcoming ceremony for foreign tourists with a lion dance and musical instrument performance along with flower presentations.
The passengers also received Nón Lá (palm-leaf conical hat), a special gift demonstrating the culture and hospitality of Vietnamese people.
Luu Thi Mui, director of Fun and Sun Vietnam Co. Ltd, said the company would team up with Red Wings Airlines to operate flights from Kazan, Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, and Yekaterinburg to Khanh Hoa from May this year with a frequency of four to five flights per week, totaling around 8,000 Russian arrivals to Vietnam each month.
So far, Red Wings has become the fifth Russian airlines to open a direct air route to Khanh Hoa, alongside Azur Air, Aeroflot, Ir Aero Airlines, and Ikar Airlines.
In April, Khanh Hoa welcomed nearly 31,500 Russian arrivals, up 30.7% compared to March. The south-central locality received over 80,600 Russian arrivals in the first four months of this year, a 2.5-fold increase from the same period last year.
