The Ministry of Finance has rejected the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA) proposal to continue reducing the registration fees for new domestically-produced cars by 50%.

The low sale volume was due to difficult economic conditions that forced customers to tighten spending.
Members of the Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (VAMM) sold a total of 677,739 motorcycles in Q3, a year-on-year fall of 18.49%.
Sales of automobiles in September increased 32% against the previous month to reach 27,252 units, the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA) reported on October 10.
The Vietnam Motor Show 2020, scheduled for October 29 – November 1, will be cancelled due to the complicated developments of COVID-19, announced the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA) and Vehicles Importers Vietnam Association (VIVA).
