VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City has launched a state-backed venture capital fund aimed at accelerating startups in core technologies, marking a new model to mobilise both public and private capital for innovation.

VOV.VN - Young people of Vietnam and China shared opportunities and challenges in tech and innovation startups at a forum in Hanoi on April 13 as part of the 24th Vietnam–China Youth Friendship Meeting in 2025.

Vietnamese technology start-ups raised more than US$120 million in 2024, a 38.7% decrease compared to the US$196 million in 2023, reported the market intelligence platform Tracxn.

Many technology talents have been returning to Vietnam after studying abroad, helping fuel not only domestic electronics supply chains but also the fast-growing digital economy.

A training course of the Google for Startups programme has been held for 25 tech startups in the southern region of Vietnam.
