Former Standing Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang was brought to trial on December 27 on the charge of “violating regulations on the management and use of State assets, causing losses and wastefulness”.
The Party Central Committee's Secretariat on April 7 decided to expel Tat Thanh Cang, former member of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and Le Huu Phuoc, member of Phu Yen province’s Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Commitee of and Chief Justice of the People’s Court of Phu Yen, from the Party.
The People’s Procuracy of Ho Chi Minh City on December 16 commenced legal proceedings against Tat Thanh Cang, former permanent vice secretary of the municipal Party Committee, to investigate for “violations of regulations on management and use of State assets, causing losses”.
