Local rubber tire producer, Da Nang Rubber joint-stock Corporation and Oceanside One Trading company from Brazil have inked an agreement on rubber tire distribution contract in Brazil and the US market, promising an increase in export turn-over from US$70 million to US$150 million per year.

Vietnam shipped 110,000 tonnes of rubber abroad last month, earning more than US$160 million, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

There is great potential for Vietnam to increase its agricultural, forestry, and aquatic exports to the US, particularly when the quality and competitiveness of its products are improved.

As many as 21 Vietnamese rubber enterprises have been branded with the trademark “Vietnam Rubber”, which was registered for the protection of intellectual property in China, India, Taiwan (China), Laos, and Cambodia.
