China’s 76th founding anniversary celebrated in Hanoi
VOV.VN - The Chinese Embassy in Hanoi hosted a reception in Hanoi on September 26 to mark the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (October 1, 1949 – 2025).

Speaking at the function, Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung of Vietnam warmly congratulated China on its remarkable achievements over the past 76 years, particularly in the new era since the 18th National Party Congress in 2012, under the leadership of Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping.
He highlighted China’s success in building a moderately prosperous society, improving the lives of its people, and enhancing its global role in security, development, civilization, and governance.
Trung noted that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of both Parties and countries, Vietnam–China relations have continued to grow substantively across various fields, with a high level of political trust, robust strategic connectivity, rapid growth in economic and investment cooperation, consolidated social foundations, and effective management of differences based on mutual respect and international law.
He reaffirmed that Vietnam stands ready to work with China to further advance the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, accelerate the building of a Vietnam–China Community with a Shared Future of strategic significance in line with the “six priorities,” promote multilateralism, and enhance cooperation in addressing both traditional and non-traditional security challenges. He stressed the need to mobilise resources for sustainable development and strengthen regional and global linkages for mutual benefit.
At the event, Chinese Chargé d’Affaires Wang Qun reviewed China’s achievements over the past 76 years, saying that the country has completed the first centenary goal of building a moderately prosperous society and is embarking on a new journey of modernisation with improved living standards, rising international standing, and active contributions to global governance.
He stressed that China and Vietnam are “good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, and good partners,” sharing mountains, rivers, and a common future.
China regards relations with Vietnam as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy and is ready to work closely with Vietnam to implement the common perceptions reached by top leaders, deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, and enrich the substance of the China–Vietnam Community with a Shared Future of strategic significance, he said.
