HCM City hosts Vietnamese products promotion week at LOTTE Mart chain
VOV.VN - The Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in co-ordination with the LOTTE Vietnam Shopping JSC (LOTTE Mart Vietnam) launched a promotion week to introduce Vietnamese products at LOTTE Vietnam's modern distribution system in Ho Chi Minh City on September 26.

This four-day event is one of Ho Chi Minh City’s key trade promotion initiatives for the year, aiming to help Vietnamese products gain stronger access to the domestic market and gradually expand to international markets.
Speaking at the launch, ITPC Director Tran Phu Lu noted that Vietnam's export market is facing significant challenges due to global economic volatility, especially the reciprocal tax measures imposed by the United States.
As exports in various sectors are projected to decline, businesses are urged to refocus on the domestic market of more than 100 million consumers, he said, adding that strengthening domestic distribution not only helps maintain production but also provides a solid foundation for businesses to further penetrate into the international market.

Over the years, ITPC has partnered with leading retail groups to organise the “Trade Connection Week” series, supporting more than 700 businesses in promoting their products and attracting over 10,000 visitors and shoppers. This year, more than 40 selected enterprises are showcasing products at LOTTE Mart Nam Sai Gon, ranging from agricultural goods, processed foods, consumer items, handicrafts, textiles, and footwear. Notably, many are small and medium-sized enterprises or innovative startups.
Park Dong-hwan, Director of Product Strategy at LOTTE Mart Vietnam, shared that LOTTE Mart currently operates 15 supermarkets in Vietnam, offering over 100,000 products, including 900 private-label items that have gained strong recognition in Korea. Through this event, LOTTE Mart seeks to partner with reliable Vietnamese suppliers, helping them improve quality, meet safety and origin standards, and gradually expand internationally.
As part of the showcase, more than 40 standout Vietnamese companies were selected to display a wide range of products, from fresh produce and processed foods to consumer goods, handicrafts, textiles, and footwear at LOTTE Mart in Ho Chi Minh City.
Alongside the product showcase, a Trade Connection Conference took place on the same day with the participation of more than 80 Vietnamese businesses. The conference is expected to serve as a practical bridge, enabling Vietnamese products to penetrate modern retail chains more deeply while building a foundation to enter regional and global markets.
