Nghe An police bust cross-border drug ring smuggling by air
VOV.VN - Police in central Nghe An province announced on September 26 that they had dismantled a transnational drug trafficking ring smuggling narcotics from Europe into Vietnam by air, arresting two individuals and seizing 21 kilograms of ketamine.

Earlier in August, the provincial drug crime investigation unit identified Ho Quang Anh (born 2003) of Quynh Son commune and Lo Thi Anh Tuyet (born 2007) of Son Lam commune as members of the ring. The drugs were concealed in shipments of milk and confectionery before being transported to Nghe An for sorting, repackaging and distribution nationwide. Investigators said the ringleaders, based overseas, coordinated operations via social media.
On September 12, the task force intercepted Quang Anh as he received a styrofoam box containing four kilograms of ketamine at a park in Truong Vinh ward, and simultaneously apprehended Tuyet at a guesthouse.A subsequent search recovered an additional 17 kilograms of ketamine hidden at the house of Tuyet’s sister in Son Lam commune.
At the police station, both arrested individuals admitted their involvement and said they acted under instructions from a mastermind in Nghe An who is currently abroad. The case remains under further investigation.
