The United States wishes to cooperate with Vietnam in the fields of renewable energy and green economy, US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry said on February 24.

HSBC Vietnam has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for evaluating and providing financing solutions with the Trungnam Construction Investment Corporation (Trungnam Group), one of the largest renewable energy developers in Vietnam, according to Saigon Giai Phong newspaper.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has been asked to coordinate with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) and relevant ministries and sectors to conduct research for setting up a renewable energy centre in the coming time.
