Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed a decision approving a project on developing the application of population database, e-identification and e-authentication for national digital transformation in the 2022-2025 period with a vision to 2030.

The national digital transformation program says Vietnam will develop hi-technology agriculture with a focus on smart and precise agriculture, while increasing the proportion of digital agriculture in the economy.

The Vietnam Social Security (VSS) will step up the application of information technology, and carry out digital transformation in a comprehensive manner so as to better serve businesses and people, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020 White Book on information and communications technology (ICT) of Vietnam is scheduled to be issued by December 20.

The first “Make in Vietnam” digital technology product awards were launched in Hanoi on August 19, aiming to promote the development of digital technology businesses in the country.
