With this result, Cong officially passed the first qualifying stage for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games, continuing his journey to reach new heights in global para sports and reinforcing Vietnam’s presence in international para powerlifting.

Joining Cong in representing Vietnam at this year’s world championship were Nguyen Binh An (men’s 54kg category); Dang Thi Linh Phuong (women’s 50kg category); and Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan (women’s 55kg category).
