Vietnamese enterprises sound out trade opportunities in Europe
VOV.VN - A delegation of 19 Vietnamese enterprises specialising in agricultural products, food, and consumer goods recently embarked on a business trip to Germany and France to explore trade and export opportunities in two of Europe’s key markets.

The trip, jointly organised by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Central Retail Vietnam, aimed to strengthen trade partnerships, expand market presence, and gain deeper insights into European market trends, logistics, and standards.
In Germany, the delegation participated in the Anuga International Fair in Cologne, one of the world’s premier trade events for food and beverages. With over 7,800 businesses from nearly 120 countries, Anuga provided an ideal platform for Vietnamese companies to connect with international buyers, explore market demand, and better understand European import regulations and quality standards.
In France, Vietnamese businesses visited Rungis Market in Paris, the world’s largest wholesale market for agricultural products, to examine France’s advanced logistics, preservation, and distribution systems, and assess the potential for integrating Vietnamese products into this extensive network.
The delegation held meetings with leading French corporations, including Bel Group, a globally recognised cheese manufacturer with discussions focusing on sustainable development strategies and possible collaboration in Southeast Asian markets.
They also made a call to the Verge de la Blottiere Cooperative, a major producer of apples and pears. The meeting provided practical insights into fruit processing and international distribution models, offering valuable lessons for Vietnamese exporters.
A key highlight of the trip was the Vietnam–France Agricultural Economic Forum, which facilitated direct business matchmaking between companies from both countries.
In his remarks, Jean-Paul Torris, President of the French National Food Council, emphasised that the forum embodies the concrete realisation of high-level agreements, underscoring the robust comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and France.
In addition, the delegation participated in “Vietnam Day” at Monoprix, one of France’s leading retail chains, and held working sessions with the Casino Group. These events allowed Vietnamese products to be showcased directly to French consumers, while creating numerous new opportunities for cooperation in the supply chain and distribution of Vietnamese products across France and Europe.
