VOV.VN - Vietnam spent US$33.75 million on importing over 12,000 tonnes of frozen pork in January, up 105% in volume and 149.1% in vale compared to the same period last year, according to the Import and Export Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

VOV.VN - Vietnam imported 109,800 tonnes of frozen pork worth US$257.29 million from foreign markets last year, marking a decrease of 8.9% in volume and 12.2% in value compared to 2023, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Up to 69.5 tonnes of frozen pork and by-products from Tomsk province of Russia have been exported to Vietnam, meeting the sanitary and veterinary regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the veterinary requirements of Vietnam.

Vietnam is now one of the world's top 10 countries for pork consumption, latest statistics have revealed.
