Indian Film Week bound for Nghe An this week

VOV.VN - The Embassy of India in Vietnam will host an Indian Film Festival in Vinh city, central Nghe An province from July 4 to 6, featuring acclaimed Bollywood films of different genres with Vietnamese subtitles.

The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at 7:30 p.m. on July 4 with the screening of Dangal (Wrestling Competition), a globally acclaimed film that tells the inspirational story of female wrestlers overcoming gender stereotypes in sports.

In the following days, film and cultural enthusiasts will enjoy several other remarkable films, including Roar of the Lion that highlights courage, honour, and sportsmanship; English Vinglish, a touching story of self-confidence and personal empowerment; and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara ((You Only Live Once), an inspiring tale of discovery, friendship, and the meaning of life.

All of the films will be shown free of charge.

The selected films reflect the diversity, depth, and modern spirit of Indian cinema, known for its ability to harmonise tradition with innovation, and intellectual depth with popular entertainment.

The festival is organised by the Embassy of India in Vietnam and the authorities of Nghe An with the aim of introducing the Indian cinema to Vietnamese audiences and strengthening cultural exchanges between the two countries.
