VOV.VN - Top leaders of Vietnam and France decided to lift the two countries’ relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership during their high-level talks in Paris on October 7, making the France the first EU member state to have a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Vietnam.

VOV.VN - On May 7, 1954, the Vietnamese army and people won the historic Dien Bien Phu victory which resulted in the signing of the Geneva Agreement ending the war and restoring peace in Indochina, paving the way for the reunification of Vietnam in 1975. 69 years after the Dien Bien Phu victory, the peoples of Vietnam and France are now fostering friendship and cooperation.

VOV.VN - A series of cultural events will be held in April to mark 50 years of diplomatic ties and 10 years of the strategic partnership between Vietnam and France, said French Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolas Warnery at a press briefing in Hanoi on March 14.
