VOV.VN - The opening nine months of the year saw the export value of timber and forestry products reach an estimated figure of US$8.97 billion, up 12% from the same period last year, according to a report released by the Vietnam Timber and Forest Product Association (Vifores).

To expand Vietnam’s wood industry sustainably, its development strategy must not only focus on the policies of importing countries but also domestic priorities.

Vietnam is aiming to build a transparent and legal wood industry to support exports of timber products and bolster the domestic timber manufacturing industry.
