The sounds of black-shanked douc langurs, yellow-cheeked gibbons, and other primates echo through the forests of Cat Tien National Park, where dozens of rare and endangered animals are receiving care at the park’s Rescue, Conservation and Development Centre.
Eight primate species, including rare ones, were discovered in Dong Chau – Khe Nuoc Trong Nature Reserve in the central province of Quang Binh, according to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Cuc Phuong National Park kicked off an education programme on December 30 with a view to inspiring the love for nature in the community by helping them take part in the care, treatment, and health recovery for animals, especially the ones at risk of extinction.
