Vietnam’s pepper exports maintained strong growth momentum of over 25%, earning nearly US$1.4 billion in the first ten months of 2025.

Vietnam’s pepper sector has maintained its leading global position despite sharp price swings over the past year, driven by supply shortages and higher logistics costs.

Vietnam’s pepper export earnings exceeded US$1.26 billion in the first nine months of 2025, surging by 27.6% year-on-year, signaling a clear recovery in the international market, the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA) has reported.

Vietnam’s pepper industry recorded export revenue of more than US$1 billion in the first eight months of 2025, the highest level for the period in seven years, according to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA).

High export prices helped the pepper export value remain positive in the first quarter of 2025, despite a decrease in export volume, however, with the US announcing base and reciprocal tariffs on imported goods, exporters are concerned about facing significant losses in the coming time.

Vietnam exported 309,505 tonnes of coffee, earning approximately US$1.72 billion in the first two months of this year, according to the Department of Customs.
