Go World Travel suggests Top 15 things to do in Vietnam
VOV.VN - Go World Travel, an international magazine specializing in the itineraries of travel writers has published a list of Top 15 things to do in Vietnam, from the misty mountains of Sa Pa to the golden beaches of Phu Quoc island, offering a wide variety of travel experiences.
Topping the list is to cruise Ha Long Bay and enjoy the view. Ha Long Bay is definitely one of those reasons you will visit Vietnam. It is a natural wonder, with over 1,600 limestone islands rising magnificently from emerald waters.
"During your boat trip of this UNESCO World Heritage site, you’ll enjoy impressive rock formations, karst caves, floating fishing villages, beautiful beaches and Vietnamese food," it wrote.
Lighting a lantern in Hoi An ranks second. This is the most famous festival, taking place on the 14th day of each lunar month.
According to Go World Travel, locals and tourists release paper lanterns into the river, creating a beautiful setting. Traditional music and dance performances fill the streets, and food stalls sell local specialties such as sticky rice and mooncakes.
Other activities in the top 10 include exploring Hoi An and buying a souvenir, visiting Cu Chi Tunnels and learning about the Vietnam War, trekking in Sapa and enjoying Fansipan, discovering Hanoi’s Old Quarter, trying Vietnamese food, relaxing in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and visiting the world’s largest cave, experiencing the Mekong Delta in Can Tho, and touring the Imperial City in Hue.
Rounding out the list consist of walking above the clouds in Da Nang, visiting My Son Sanctuary, touring the beaches in Nha Trang, discovering Ninh Binh, and immersing in Vietnamese local life.
