Vietnam in favourable group for 2026 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Finals
VOV.VN - Vietnam have been drawn into a relatively favourable group for the final round of the 2026 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup, following the official draw conducted by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
According to the draw results, Vietnam will compete in Group A alongside the host Thailand, China, and Bangladesh.
Group B comprises the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Republic of Korea, Uzbekistan, and Jordan, while Group C brings together Japan, Australia, Chinese Taipei, and India.
The 2026 tournament will feature 12 teams, divided into three groups of four. Teams will play each other in a round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group and the two best third-placed teams progressing to the quarterfinals.
The four winners of the quarterfinal ties will secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, expected to be held in Poland.
As planned, the 2026 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Finals will take place in Thailand from April 1 to 18, 2026.
