Vietnam remains an attractive destination for Russian tourists

VOV.VN - Vietnam continues to maintain strong appeal as an attractive destination for Russian tourists, according to fresh positive updates from the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RUTI), despite recent severe storms affecting parts of Southeast Asia.

RUTI reported that no upcoming tours have been canceled. On the contrary, travel demand is rising, particularly ahead of the school holiday period. Bookings from Russian travelers to both Vietnam and Thailand increased over the past week and are extending through April-May next year.

According to the report, major resort areas in Vietnam have returned to normal operations following typhoon Kalmaegi.

Andrey Podkolzin, Director of Public Relations at ITM Group, said the situation is stabilizing, with local residents and relevant forces working quickly to address the aftermath of the storm. During the storm, tourists were not affected as local authorities had provided early information for both residents and visitors to take timely precautions.

Travel companies in both Vietnam and Thailand confirmed that weather conditions have had little to no impact on travelers’ vacation plans.
