Vietnam is pushing forward with efforts to establish a legal framework for the forest carbon market, aiming to mobilise new financial resources for sustainable forestry and climate goals.

Vietnam has responsibly and practically joined international climate change treaties as part of the efforts to materialise a resolution adopted by the 11th-tenure Party Central Committee in this regard.

Vietnam has been assessed by the international community as an active and responsible country in the global climate change fight, an official of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) has said.
