Vietnamese outside hitter Nhu Quynh to join Indonesia’s Yoga Falcons FC

VOV.VN - Vi Thi Nhu Quynh has agreed to join Yoga Falcons FC in Indonesia’s top volleyball league, continuing the growing presence of Vietnamese talent on the international stage, Tuoi tre (Youth) Online has reported.

She had received offers from multiple clubs, but ultimately opted to sign with Yoga Falcons, a newly formed team competing in the Indonesian Proliga national championship.

Nhu Quynh will become the latest Vietnamese female player to compete overseas. Born in 2002 in central Nghe An province, Nhu Quynh is known for her powerful spikes, aided by strong wrists. Standing at 1.75 meters tall, she has made notable progress in 2025, particularly with her back-row attacks while playing for Vietinbank at the Hoa Lu Cup and the opening phase of the National Championship.

Her strong performance earned her a loan transfer to VTV Binh Dien Long An for the AVC Champions League in the Philippines. There, she helped the team claim second place and qualify for the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship.

Joining Yoga Falcons will be a challenge. The team debuted in the Proliga this year and finished last, with nine losses and only one set won. The Proliga, held annually from January to May, is Indonesia’s top-tier volleyball league and features strong international talent. Vietnamese star Tran Thi Thanh Thuy previously played in the tournament for Gresik Petrokimia FC.
