Lee Kwang Soo and Hoang Ha to star in Korean–Vietnamese romantic comedy
VOV.VN - Korean actor Lee Kwang Soo and Vietnamese actress Hoang Ha will take on lead roles in the upcoming rom-com movie 'Tay Anh Giu Mot Vi Sao', aka ‘Dreams of You’ in English.
Directed by Kim Sung Hoon, the film began shooting in July last year and is slated for release on October 3, according to multiple local sources.
The story follows Kang Jun-woo, a Korean superstar known as the “Prince of Asia,” who travels to Vietnam to take on a role in a film aiming for the Cannes Film Festival. While in Vietnam, he unexpectedly finds himself stranded and penniless. There, he meets Tao, a young Vietnamese woman with dreams of becoming a bartender, played by Hoang Ha. After helping him out of a difficult situation, the two embark on an unpredictable yet heartfelt journey together.
The cast also includes both Korean and Vietnamese artists such as Eum Moon-seok, Duy Khanh ZhouZhou, and Lam Thanh My.
Blending romance and humor, the film also highlights cultural differences between the Republic of Korea and Vietnam, offering a light yet meaningful message about understanding and human connection.
