VOV.VN - Vietnam’s seafood exports to the United States during the opening four months of the year enjoyed an annual surge of 28% to US$483 million, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Producers and Exporters (VASEP).

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has said that the Vietnam Trade Office in Japan is continuing to coordinate with relevant domestic authorities as well as supermarket networks and distributors in Japan to promote Vietnamese lychees among Japanese consumers.

The export turnover of wood and wood products hit US$4.99 billion in the first four months of 2021, a surge of 50.5% year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development.

More than 3,600 tonnes of fresh lychees from the northern provinces of Hai Duong, Bac Giang and Vinh Phuc were exported to China via Lao Cai province’s Kim Thanh II international border gate from May 8 to 24.

Vietnam’s textile and garment exports grew 9% to over US$9.5 billion in the first four months of 2021, with shipments of cord fabric and fibre and yarn increasing 35.7% and 43.4%, respectively, year-on-year.

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s tuna exports enjoyed strong growth during the opening four months of the year, recording an annual rise of 15% to reach roughly US$226 million, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

The Philippines’s lowering tariffs on imported rice would open up opportunities for Vietnam to maintain stable supply of the product for the country and helping it stabilise the domestic market, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
