Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has approved the submission of the dossier of the Via Ba Chua Xu festival in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang for UNESCO's recognition as intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

The Vietnam Sanitary and Phytosanitary Notification Authority and Enquiry Point (SPS Vietnam Office) on October 21 sent a document to People’s Committees of centrally-run cities and provinces, the Vietnam Food Administration requesting urgent registration of food producers and exporters to China.
