VOV.VN - Vietnam should promote its potential and advantages to develop medical tourism into a spearhead economic sector, thereby contributing to making the country a regional healthcare hub, according to a senior official of the Ministry of Health.

The tourism industry of the central province of Thua Thien - Hue continued to regain recovery momentum and high growth in the first half of 2023, ranking 11th among 63 provinces and cities in terms of total revenue.

The wood processing industry is to become a spearhead economic sector by 2025, posting export turnover of about US$20 billion to contribute to socio-economic development and stabilise the livelihoods of people living in forested areas.
