Quang Ninh province is working with the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology’s Institute of Earth Sciences (IES) to study the installation of an early warning system for thunderstorms, heavy rains, and dangerous sea waves in Ha Long and Bai Tu Long Bays following the tragic Vinh Xanh 58 tourist boat capsizing.
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Quang Ninh province, in coordination with local authorities and the families of the victims, held a solemn requiem on July 28 for 39 people who lost their lives in the recent tragic capsizing of the Vinh Xanh 58 (Wonder Sea) tourist boat on Ha Long Bay.
VOV.VN - As of now, out of the 49 people aboard the Vinh Xanh 58 tourist boat that capsized in Ha Long Bay on the afternoon of July 19, rescue teams have saved 10 individuals, recovered and handed over 37 bodies to their families, while two victims remain missing at sea.
In the wake of the catastrophic boat capsizing in Ha Long Bay, the northern province of Quang Ninh, emergency relief efforts have been mobilised to support the bereaved families and survivors.
