HCM City Women’s FC potential opponents set for AFC Women’s Champions League

VOV.VN - The final six teams joining the group stage of the AFC Women’s Champions League 2025/26 have been confirmed following the qualifying rounds.

The last qualifying matches determined six teams to advance alongside those already granted direct entry. Representing Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC is one of the six teams securing direct group stage spots.

Teams exempt from qualification include Melbourne City (Australia), Suwon (the Republic of Korea), Tokyo Verdy Beleza (Japan), Wuhan Jiangda (China), and Bam Khatoon (Iran).

The final qualifying round produced the remaining group-stage entrants: ISPE (Myanmar), Stallion Laguna (Philippines), Nasaf (Uzbekistan), Lion City Sailors (Singapore), Naegohyang (North Korea), and East Bengal (India).

Last season, Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC impressed with a remarkable comeback against Abu Dhabi Country (UAE) in the quarterfinals, before bowing out in the semifinals to eventual champions Wuhan Jiangda.

For the 2025/26 edition of the AFC Women’s Champions League, Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC is seeded in Pot 2 alongside Wuhan Jiangda and Bam Khatoon. Opponents for Huynh Nhu and her teammates will be determined in the upcoming group-stage draw.
