An exhibition honouring Vietnamese women and their role in the nation's struggle for independence has opened in Mexico city, celebrating the strong ties between Vietnam and Mexico.

The “Escuela Primaria Republica Socialista de Vietnam” (Socialist Republic of Vietnam High School), 40 km southeast of downtown Mexico City, held an event on May 29 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Mexico.

Major Mexican newspapers on May 18 (local time) ran features celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Mexico as well as the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – 2025).
