Hanoi to promote tourism potential at World Expo 2025 in Japan
VOV.VN - The Hanoi Department of Tourism will showcase the capital’s tourism products at the World Expo 2025 due to run from August 14 to 20 in Japan, highlighting the image of “Hanoi: A Safe – Friendly – Quality – Attractive Destination.”

This activity aims to effectively implement both the government and city’s resolutions to support Vietnam’s annual national economic growth target of 8% and attract visitors from strategic markets, particularly Japan.
Specifically, the department will lead a delegation comprising of travel agencies, airlines, transport providers, and tourism destinations to participate in promotional events in Osaka and Nagoya.
Hanoi will set up an immersive tourism exhibition space at the Vietnam Pavilion during the Expo’s Vietnam National Day/Tourism Day, spanning 300 square meters.
The promotional programme will include cultural displays and décor featuring symbols of Hanoi’s tourism and heritage; multimedia presentations showcasing the city's heritage, history, and modern-day vibrancy; and One Commune, One Product (OCOP) products and traditional handicrafts from Hanoi’s craft villages, such as Bat Trang ceramics, Dong Ho folk paintings, lacquerware, and Van Phuc silk.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy interactive experiences, including making traditional Vietnamese lotus tea preparation, trying on traditional Vietnamese attire, and exploring Vietnamese musical instruments.
Vietnamese tourism businesses will introduce various travel offerings tailored for the Japanese market, including inbound tours, MICE tourism, golf packages, cultural experiences, wellness travel, and new flight routes.
According to Tran Trung Hieu, deputy director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, participating in World Expo 2025 is a meaningful step toward enhancing the visibility of Hanoi’s tourism in strategic markets. The event will serve as a vital platform for connecting with Japanese partners and for tourism businesses to showcase their unique and attractive products directly to Japanese consumers.
