VOV.VN - Vietnamese peacekeeping forces, including the Military Engineering Unit No.1 and the Level-2 Field Hospital No.4, held a departure ceremony on April 27 at Noi Bai International Airport ahead of their work at the UN Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) mission.

A ceremony to hand over peacekeeper training equipment donated by the Australian Department of Defence to the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations was held in Hanoi on December 14.

Vietnam’s engagement in UN peacekeeping operations over the past seven years has helped raise the country’s prestige and position in the world and win praise from the UN and international friends, said Major General Hoang Kim Phung, Director of the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations.
