Nearly 17,000 children aged 1-5 in Ho Chi Minh City got measles jabs from August 31 to September 2 as the city recently declared the contagious and serious airborne disease an epidemic.

Ho Chi Minh City will kick off a measles vaccination campaign at all medical stations in the 22 districts, and Thu Duc city from August 31.
