VOV.VN - The Fourth Regional Command of the Vietnam’s People’s Navy on January 3 met more than 100 reporters who would visit and produce stories about soldiers and islanders’ preparations for the coming lunar New Year (Tet) festival on the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.
The Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang and the four Cambodian provinces of Koh Kong, Preah Sihanouk, Kam Pot and Kep on November 15 agreed to continue cooperation in searching, gathering and repatriating remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in Cambodia during the wartime.
The assistance provided by Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts to Laos in the past is priceless, helping foster the cooperative relations and friendship between the two nations, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security of Laos, Gen. Vilay Lakhamphong, has stated.
The Vietnamese and Cambodian governments on October 24 agreed to maintain their close coordination and increase efficiency of bilateral cooperation in the search for, gathering and repatriation of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in Cambodia during the wartime.
The search and repatriation of remains of soldiers, officials and people who laid down their lives to safeguard the Fatherland and perform international mission have received great attention from the Party, State, administration, localities and military units with the highest political determination and responsibility.

The Vietnamese and Lao Governments’ special working committees on search, collection and repatriation of remains of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and experts who sacrificed in Laos during wartime convened their 28th meeting in Vientiane, Laos, on June 19.
