Mekong Delta enhances investment attraction, digital and green transformation

VOV.VN - A conference on investment attraction, digital and green transformation was held on February 14 in Can Tho city, serving as a platform for policymakers, businesses, international organizations, and agricultural cooperatives to discuss solutions for promoting investment and technology adoption in rice production.

The event covered key topics such as investment needs, technology application in digital and green transformation among cooperatives and value chain stakeholders, and lessons learned from a pilot project on digital and green agricultural transition in the Mekong Delta.

Japanese enterprises also introduced advanced technologies to support cooperatives in optimizing production.

The Mekong Delta, Vietnam’s key rice-producing region, plays a crucial role in national food security and global rice exports.  However, the region faces mounting challenges, including climate change, resource depletion, and rising production costs, while international markets impose stricter requirements on quality, traceability, and carbon emissions reduction.

The conference is expected to create strong momentum for investment, cooperation, and technological innovation in agriculture, enabling cooperatives and farmers to access cutting-edge solutions to boost productivity, reduce emissions, and increase the value of agricultural products.
