Cooperation between Vietnam and the US in the settlement of war consequences has reaped remarkable outcomes, helping to heal war wounds and increase trust between the two countries.

The 2nd Vietnam – Israel Defence Policy Dialogue took place in Hanoi on June 2 under the co-chair by Vietnamese Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien, and Major General (retired) Amir Eshel, Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defence.

Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien is leading a Vietnamese delegation to the ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting (ADSOM) and the ASEAN Defence Senior Officials’ Meeting Plus (ADSOM+) which is taking place in Phnom Penh on May 17-18.
